An amazing complete shark tooth from Carcharadon Megalodon, a huge shark from the Miocene Period, 15 Million years ago.   Caracharadon was the largest predatory shark that ever lived.  A healthy adult weighed around 50 tons and was in excess of 16 metres long.  It had over 300 teeth in its jaw, in 3 rows, top and bottom.  Once a front tooth was worn down it would fall out and be replaced by a tooth from the back row, much like a modern shark.  Fossil remains have been found worldwide, although this tooth was found by divers in South Carolina,  USA.   This tooth will delight collectors of all ages, and attract much interest whether displayed singly or as part of a prestigious collection.
