These stunning opals are from Ethiopia and cut and produced in Jaipur in India, which is the centre of the Indian gem trade.  They are extremely beautiful and typical of their type, very colourful, showing much ‘Chatoyancy’  ie  ‘lights’ within.   Fabulous with that little black dress but equally at home with jeans and … nothing else needed really!

Opal was newly found in Ethiopia, 5 years ago and, after the high prices commanded by Australian Opal -which has dominated the market for so long,  Ethiopian Opals have created a new force in the market and are very affordable.   The new finds are found in all sizes and a high variety of colours.
