Aepyornis Egg from Madagascar. It was also known as Giant Elephant Bird and probably laid the biggest known egg of any creature. We have written more about it in our blog, see here. This is a composite made from shell collected in Madagascar. ‘Aepyornis’ weighed up to 400 kilos and was the world’s largest bird until its extinction about 1000 years ago. Very sought after and currently selling rapidly at auction. A very noticeable trophy for a collector and impressive in the study or office
Free shipping on mainland UK and at cost overseas – surprisingly inexpensive.
